As a person with a shaved head i.e. very little hair, I don’t have much expertise in the area. The residents of Ten Towers say that I don’t have the morning struggle of drying my hair because by the time I get out of the shower, it’s already dry. I want to know though. Is the struggle real? Perhaps if I take a leaf of out of Sam McKnight’s book I will learn. And I mean literally take a leaf out, because there is a book. Aptly named ‘Hair by Sam McKnight’. Filled with images from pop culture it name checks Princess Diana, Madonna and David Bowie. Iconic, right? And that isn’t all. The powerhouse hair stylist also has an exhibition on at Somerset House to celebrate his 40 year career. So I’m thinking after all of this exposure to hair I’ll be flicking and flipping my luscious locks and scalping (get it) the competition. And what better way to end than with a quote from another fabulous wig wearing woman – Lady Gaga. From the hit single ‘Hair’ she sings “I am my hair”. Sam McKnight’s anthem we bet. Ours too.
