Yes, you read that right.
If your mum’s heading down to Asda tomorrow to do a bit of Black Friday shopping, tell her to head up to George, as she might stumble upon some vintage Gucci for as little as 12 quid. No, we’re not kidding.
To coincide with the release of Ridley Scott’s House Of Gucci, arriving at cinemas tomorrow, November 26, the supermarket juggernaut has announced a Gucci treasure hunt. Teaming up with PreLoved – Asda’s sustainability partner, which stocks vintage finds from the 1950s onwards – 30 second-hand Gucci pieces will be hidden across 50 Asda stores. All those in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Brighton (or anywhere else in the country, if you fancy the drive) can shop rare Gucci frocks, shirts, shirts and outerwear, all while grabbing a Muller Corner Yogurt multipack a few isles down.
“Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us,” says Lauren Mallins, buying specialist at George at Asda.
A Gucci stocking stuffer which could cost you less than a weekly shop? That’s Asda price for you.
