Turning 100 is a pretty huge deal, and despite the pandemic and all, Gucci was never going to celebrate its centenary anniversary low-key.
After launching a special 100 collection, opening a new store-cum-creative space in London’s Shoreditch and unleashing a Balenciaga hacking of epic proportions back in April, the house now has its sights set on Hollywood.
Yes, that’s right: Gucci will stage its next show in Los Angeles. Dubbed Gucci Love Parade, the show will be held on Hollywood Boulevard on November 2, 2021, just as the city eases all restrictions.
A celebration of all things Tinseltown, Alessandro Michele and the Gucci Changemakers initiative will provide significant financial support to communities based in LA and Hollywood through a donation of $1 million spread across six non-profit organisations, including YCMA Hollywood and Miley Cyrus’ The Happy Hippy Foundation.
