Gucci has lifted the red curtain on its new Love Parade ad campaign. Generously doused in sensuality, hedonism and indulgence, the campaign, directed by Mert & Marcus, encapsulates the Hollywood glitz and glam of the house’s SS22 show.
The video resumes the narrative from the collection’s debut on Hollywood Boulevard, taking us from the neon lights of the Hall Of Fame to the dusky shadows of a luxurious banquet.
Jared Leto, who joined the Love Parade catwalk, is in good company with Miley Cyrus, Snoop Dog and other friends of Gucci as divinities of the Hollywood night. Creative director, Alessandro Michele, credits his choice of Hollywood to his mother, an assistant to a movie executive, who instilled a devotion to beauty and dreaming in him which Hollywood captures so perfectly.
Crystals shimmer while silks and furs succumb to the sound of The Velvet Underground’s “Venus In Furs” making fantasy into reality. A feast for your eyes.
