Gucci’s Horsebit 1955 Bag Is A Keeper

After some new arm candy? Gucci’s got you covered. The Italian fashion giant has dug into its extensive archive to envision the Gucci Horsebit 1955, a new bag that collides a classic silhouette with flick, modern flair. The clue is in the name: the bag’s distinctive double ring and bar detail was presented by the house in 1955 after first appearing on loafers two years prior. Inspired by the equestrian hobbies of the house’s luxury clientele, the Horsebit would go on to become a Gucci insignia, appearing across a range of accessories throughout its history.

The Horsebit 1995 is instantly recognisable thanks to its rectangular structure and top-flap finish, available in a variety of sizes, colourways and materials – from leather to the Gucci GG monogram. In the bag’s official campaign, the Horsebit 1995 comes cradled in the arms of Halle Baily, who stars as Ariel in the upcoming The Little Mermaid, as well as K-Pop superstar Hanni and Golden Globe-winning actress Julia Garner. Finding its way into the very pages of 10 Magazine’s new issue, the Horsebit 1995 is captured in a domestic setting, shaping up to be a home comfort you can carry with you day in, day out.
