Gucci is Staging its Very Own Festival, Starring Harry Styles, Florence Welch and More

This year, the team at Gucci has treated us to a much-needed supply of exclusive films, campaigns and even an exclusive comic book collaboration. Now the brand is upping its game to the highest level with the first-ever Gucci Fest, which will launch the upcoming collection titled Ouverture – Glasto who?

The festival will take place from November 16-22 and will host the premiere of the highly anticipated seven-part mini-series, Of Something That Never Ended, directed by Gus Van Sant and the brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele. Unlike the British festivals, we’re used to where you become engulfed by mud without anything that even resembles a shower in sight, the mini-series will feature the glamorous new Gucci collection by Michele.

“The presentation of the new collection is a joyful and irregular new tale,” reads the press release. “No longer constrained by the old notion of seasonality, closer to [Michele’s] expressive call and told by blending rules and genres, feeding on new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms.”

As with all festivals, Gucci has ensured a star-studded line up including Darius Khonsary, Arlo Parks, Florence Welch and – surprise, surprise – Harry Styles. However, as fashion fanatics, we’re most looking forward to the series of short films from 15 of our favourite emerging designers who will be debuting brand new collections through the Gucci Fest website. Prepare yourselves for the likes of Ahluwalia, JordanLuca, Stefan Cooke, Bianca Saunders and many more. So make sure to switch out your wellies and face glitter for something a little more sophisticated and tune in to the first-ever Gucci Fest!
