Gucci Alessandro Michele Unveils Debut Campaign

Fuck. Look at that sofa. So. Nice. And there, plonked upon it, is male model Jack Chambers who is in the process of removing his jumper and, in so doing, obscuring his face and revealing his chest. And that’s rather nice too. It’s not a tanned, toned torso like we’re used to seeing in Gucci ads. It’s white, wiry and waif-like. Shot by Glen Luchford, this campaign is Alessandro Michele’s first for the brand and encapsulates his take on the its aesthetic, a take that is less sexed up and souped up and more cool and contemporary. This Gucci boy has, to paraphrase Katy Perry, “got our hearts racing, in his skin-tight jeans, our teenage dream this Tuesday morning.”
