News has reached us that Gosha Rubchinskiy will continue his tour of Russia with his next collection, choosing the lesser-known locale of Ekaterinburg. Yeh, us neither. Sounds cold. Nestled somewhere in the Ural Mountains, a stone’s throw from the trans-Siberian express, the city, which is Russia’s fourth largest, will host Rubchinskiy’s AW18 collection, in which he will be unveiling two new (as yet undisclosed) collaborations.
Having previously shown in Kaliningrad, and, most recently in St. Petersburg, where the designer unveiled his collaboration with Burberry and Adidas Football, the football theme looks set to continue in Ekaterinburg as the city looks set to host a number of matches at next year’s World Cup, which is also happening in Russia. But it also continues Gosha’s mission of celebrating and showcasing The Motherland to the world of fashion, who, come January 14th, will see what the designer has in store next.
