Little known fact, I was an avid boarder when I was younger. Is that what they call them? And by avid what I really mean is that I had a skateboard, but had absolutely no idea how to use it. Just an oversized accessory really. An attitude, or idea over a real hobby. And who is to say that isn’t what skating (or boarding) is all about anyway? So I was a fraud, okay. I’m ashamed. Even more so after the release of the new Gosha Rubchinskiy fragrance. All about skateboarding on a summer day. And, you just know that Gosha and his gang are real boarders, not the fake kind. What should you expect from the fragrance? A simple design, effective. The red box which encases the fragrance is an ode to historic Russian perfumes, for all you nostalgic folk out there. And the simple wooden lid evokes memories of the raw materials of a skateboard. There is some writing, in what I’m going to take a wild guess is in Russian. What does it say? I don’t know I failed GCSE Russian. Possibly his name. Who knows. Anyway, if that weren’t enough for you Gosha gobble gannets he is also releasing a book to accompany the fragrance, aptly named Perfume Book. Two guesses what it is about. Well, duh, the fragrance. And if that isn’t enough then you need to find a hobby because this is getting ridiculous. But you can get your book signed down at Dover Street Market by the man himself on October 8th from 5-7pm. As for me, I’m so inspired by this all my inner boarder has been awoken – the real one. So avoid being out after dark at all costs possible because I’m going to be dusting off my old faithful and taking it to streets. And if that doesn’t work slash kill me I’ll just settle for smelling like one.
