Another day, another new Givenchy store – the Riccardo Tisci takeover continues. Which is no bad thing. Especially if you are in Milan this week, because that’s where you’ll find it – perfectly placed on Via Sant’Andrea, a fabulously upmarket shopping street. French fashion in Italy’s sartorial capital – a fine match. It’s kind of like serving a fine Parisian steak served atop a Milanese pizza. Which is obviously going to be delicious. As Tisci says, “Milan is one of the world’s most vibrant centres of fashion and one where I feel completely at home. I wanted to create something special and unique that would inspire visitors to discover Givenchy and its surprises. This boutique brings together the exciting elements of our world of French couture, our own DNA and blends them with the high energy of the city and its citizens.” The interior is as glamorous as you would expect from the house – a giant fish tank filled with tropical fish, a shiny mirrored tunnel. Come to think of it, everything looks is pretty shiny. Apparently the atmosphere will be that of ‘elegant intimacy.’ Which is great news for us at Ten Towers, because everybody knows that’s how we like to conduct all of our shopping-based affairs.
