Naomi Campbell. La Campbell. In diamante pinstripe. And a string bikini! Well, if you’re going to show your couture during your menswear show, is there really any other way? This is how you inject a runway with a little va-va-voom factor. Anyway, think of the Givenchy ladies as a rare breed of flapper birds of paradise. They’re a little showgirl, but not in a vulgar way. Its slinky. Long slinky shifts and sheer lace hung on diamante straps that erupt in skirts of silky tassels and delicate marabou. Riccardo Tisci called them ‘his bad girls’ apparently, a sentiment that always makes us think of Donna Summer, spirits high and legs look hot. Something underscored by the thick black headbands that kept hair scrapped back and the thick black eyeliner winged around eyes.
