Although Clare Waight Keller may no longer be at the helm of Givenchy, that’s doesn’t mean we should stop celebrating her excellent tenure at the Parisian house any time soon. The former artistic director has particular prowess in using menswear to inform womenswear, and vise versa. A prime example of this can be seen through the accessories debuted at Givenchy’s SS20 menswear show at Pitti Uomo. The collection is inspired by Keller’s own extensive travel schedule, with a range of different sized bags ensuring the Givenchy man is equipped and ready for his daily adventures. Featuring shopping totes, sturdy rucksacks, and duffle silhouettes, every sort of gentleman can find something to love in this line of accessories. Our personal highlight has to be the Bond small backpack. In a crocodile-effect leather, this cracking number can be worn one of three ways: as a traditional backpack, on your front like a cross-body bag, or to the side like a satchel. It comes fitted with a draw-string detailing at the front that accents the grey body with hints of orange, and its compact size makes it ideal for going about your day-to-day. Go on, treat yourself, you’ll have a lot of showing off to make up after lockdown is lifted…
