Girard-Perregaux Releases Exquisite New Titamium Timepiece

Luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux has just released its latest timepiece – the elegant and newly imagined Laureato Chronograph Ti49. Combining the brand’s classic yet intricate case design with grade five titanium for the first time, this new offering embodies themes of strength and discovery.

Inspired by historical watchmaking pioneers Jean-François Bautte and William Gregor, the introduction of the alloy into the Swiss horologist’s offering is a significant step. Known for its resistance to corrosion and hypoallergenic properties, grade five titanium has become one of the most sought-after in the industry since it was developed in 1951.

On top of its enchanting material makeup, the new model has a distinctly refined aesthetic, featuring a 42mm case that sports an octagonal bezel, echoing the design of the original 1975 Laureato Chronograph model. The exquisite craftsmanship that Girard-Perregaux has become known for is demonstrated in full force here, with a self-winding Manufacture Calibre GP03300 that is comprised of 419 components.

A true display of masterful watchmaking, the piece is available for purchase in various Girard-Perregaux retailers. Discover more here, and shop the Laureato Chronograph Ti49 here.
