Rejoice! Giorgio Armani’s womenswear is FINALLY coming to Net-A-Porter. What took Mr Armani so long? Why now? It matters not – water under the proverbial bridge – all that matters is it’s here, meaning that we can rest assured, just in case we need it. Which we obviously do, and will be purchasing, when it arrives on the site on November 1st.
And, being Mr Armani, he’s arriving with an exclusive – a capsule collection, created specially for Net-a-Porter. The underlying theme of the collection is that of an Oriental landscape (think classic screen motif), reproduced through jacquard techniques on shimmery, diaphanous gowns. Told you it was nice. But this collection doesn’t stop at daywear – super chic trouser suits with cropped blouson jackets, flowing evening gowns, cocktail dresses and a jacquard trench coat to wrap it all together, complete a healthy assortment of evening wares. Your night time accessories are covered too – a very nice pair of slender-heeled sandals accompanied by a dinky clutch. They even included a pair of flats for the journey home. Mr Armani knows how to treat a girl.
The collection arrives on Net-a-Porter on November 1st and will be available from selected stores thereafter.
