GIORGIO ARMANI: ONE PLUS ONE
From the slightly surreal lighting, to the leads Bridget Nielsen style do, everything’s a bit bleached out in this dreamy new Giorgio short, that’s the result of a collaboration between Mr. Armani and film director Luca Guadagnino, who’s most famed for 2009’s Golden Globe and Oscar nominated ‘Io sono l’amore’ (I Am Love). Exploring the concept of a love triangle, a couple of Armani garbed lantern jawed models (Diego Fragoso, and Viniccius Sales) pursue the beautiful Milou Van Groesen, through the grounds of grand Italian architecture to dizzying effect. All becomes rather M.C Escher, until old Milz is finally faced with the horrific choice of which hunk? Which hunk do I chose?! Take em both we say!! Seriously though- a beautifully shot piece of work, which demonstrates how incredible the relatively new medium of fashion film can actually be.
