Giorgio Armani: Films Of City Frames Premiere

Is there really a better way to celebrate one’s stylish glasses than via the medium of film? Mr Armani certainly doesn’t think so. Hence his Films of City Frames initiative, now in it’s second year, which aims to support emerging cinematic talent. Selecting the most promising students from four international film schools, they’re tasked with creating a visual narrative built around Armani’s Frames of Life eyewear. This years students, from Scoula Holden in Turin, Academia International de Cinema in Sao Paolo, The Seoul Institute of the Arts and Sydney Film School, were asked to create a story based on a real-life situation and to set it in their respective cities, the one thing linking them all being the Frames of Life collection. The screening was followed by a panel discussion led by Tim Blanks and Dame Helen Mirren as well as the students involved in the making of the films.

Starting tomorrow, 13th October, the four short movies will also be available for viewing online on framesoflife.com.
