Being the charitable sorts that we are here at Ten Towers, we are delighted to hear this morning’s news that Mr Giorgio Armani has started a namesake foundation. “I decided to create the Giorgio Armani Foundation in order to implement projects of public and social interest,” said Armani. But that’s not all. It’s partly to do with preparing the company for a future if (and ever) Mr Armani retires. “The Foundation will also safeguard the governance assets of the Armani Group and ensure that these assets are kept stable over time, in respect of and consistent with some principles that are particularly important to me,” he said. Not that we know what that means. Or that we want to think about him ever retiring. The horror! We would probably just stop wearing clothes completely. What would be the point? Instead, we are choosing to bask in our favourite Italian’s warm glow via the picture above, taken at the brand’s 40th anniversary. Ahhhhh.
