Chloé Appoints Gabriela Hearst As New Creative Director

And just like that, Chloé has a new creative director! Three days after it was announced Natacha Ramsay-Levi was stepping down from her leading role at the Parisian house after four years, today it was revealed that Gabriela Hearst will take her place. The Uruguayan-American designer is the first female with a multi-cultural heritage to take the helm at Chloé. A true sustainability titan – Hearst held the first-ever, carbon-neutral catwalk presentation – the designer was awarded both a 2020 Fashion Award and the American Womenswear of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards back in September.

“I am grateful for an opportunity at such a beloved brand as Chloé,” says Hearst in a statement. “I am thankful to Natacha Ramsay-Levi and all the other extraordinary designers that have come before her and helped build on the purposeful vision of Gaby Aghion. I am also humbled to be able to work with the Chloé team to help execute this beautiful vision in creative and accountable ways.”

Hearst begins her new role from today, whilst simultaneously continuing to lead her eponymous label. The designer will reveal her debut Chloé collection this coming March. A massive congrats to Gabriela from us all here at 10!
