Gabriela Hearst Is Leaving Chloé

After 3 years at the helm of the brand, today it was unveiled Gabriela Hearst is parting ways with the Chloé.

Hearst, who joined the company in 2020, will show her final Chloé collection during Paris Fashion Week this September.

The surprise announcement comes a day after it was unveiled the brand will partner with Jolie Atelier Jolie, Angelina Jolie’s new clothing brand, which will celebrate “self-expression and the work of skilled craftspeople”. Hearst and Jolie are currently working on a women’s capsule collection, set to be released later this year.

During her tenure, Hearst – whose eponymous label still operates out of New York – was responsible for bringing a game-changing, sustainable approach to Chloé. Her collections were rooted in sustainability, circularity and ethical sourcing, with Hearst collaborating with Kenyan craftspeople on accessories, working with recycled cashmere and leather, and even upcyling 50 vintage Chloé bags sourced on eBay for her debut collection.  In 2021, under Hearst, Chloé became the first European luxury brand to receive B Corp status.

There has been no announcement of who will replace Hearst.
