The latest Kiko Kostadinov trainers were made for the boys and girls who are out of this world. Released as part of the final instalment in the Ecco.Kollektive by Kiko Kostadinov collection coined Hypatia, these trainers fuse the bizarre, techy designs the label is known for with Ecco.Kollektive’s impressive craftsmanship.
Fashioned by a womenswear design team directed by Laura and Deanna Fanning, Hypatia plays on technology’s omnipresent allure. Available in a vivid colour palette of red, chartreuse and metallic hues, the kicks draw inspiration from the ’60s space race craze and retro-futurism.
A technological fantasy with a perfect balance between form and movement, these shoes feature minimal and sharp designs – like a sleek wave on the body of the shoe – crafted in a buttery soft nubuck, contrasted by satin leathers and mesh-like structures. They also feature a spherical foundation structure which not only highlights the complexity and precision of Ecco’s technological tools, but it gives Kiko’s kicks an extraterrestrial feel.
