FIRST LOOK: Kristen Stewart as Coco Chanel

Oh, to be a muse, to inspire just through your very being. I feel like it’s the life I was meant to lead. So, any artists/writers/designers/anybody really that’s currently looking for your next muse, give me a bell. Lucky girl that she is, Kristen Stewart doesn’t need to use such tactics because she already is one. A muse to Karl Lagerfeld, no less, which is probably just about the top of the muse game. It’s the reason that he’s cast her in his latest short film, “Once and Forever”, which will premiere at the Chanel Métiers d’art show in Rome, playing Ms Coco Chanel herself. Well actually, she’ll play an actress playing Coco Chanel. Which is close enough. “She can look like Chanel, and I wanted to show Chanel through all the decades of her life and the comeback in the 1950s,” Karl Lagerfeld said. She’ll be joined by longtime Karl collaborator, Geraldine Chaplin, who will share the role of Coco, having played her a number of times before. Stewart will also wield her muse-like power in Chanel’s latest campaign, that will accompany the Chanel Métiers d’art.
