Your first taste of Demna’s Gucci is here!
Consisting of 41 looks, the La Famigla collection will be available to buy later this week in ten Gucci stores worldwide on September 25.
“This collection marks the genesis of a new Gucci era: unapologetically sexy, extravagant, and daring. La Famiglia is a study of the ‘Gucciness’ of Gucci, an expression of the brand as a mindset and a shared aesthetic language,” reads the press release.

There are femme fatale archetypes. The tiger striped mini faux fur coat of ‘La Bomba’, for instance, or ‘Sciura’, a powder blue shearling coat, almost poodle like with puffy shoulders and a OTT fuzzy collar. There’s a potent sexiness that harks back to Tom Ford’s Gucci era, reimagined for today. The silver sequin ‘Miss Aperitivo’ minidress. Feathered opera coats, knee-high mock croc boots, faux furs upon more faux furs.
The collection dances from extravagance (glittery ballgowns frothing with tool at the hem) to more simpler looks (slick black suiting worn with slouchy Jackie bags, shiny monogrammed trench coats). The fun isn’t lost on the menswear, either, which includes shirts unbuttoned below the navel, cropped leathers, glittery going out tops and hot boys in just their trunks.
Demna will unveil the collection in full tomorrow night to kick off this season’s Milan Fashion Week. A new Gucci era begins. Watch the space.
