See This Year’s Crowned Designers at the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards

The annual Fashion Trust Arabia awards looked a little different this year… In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, the non-profit organisation were forced to cancel their annual award ceremony back in March, moving the prize to digitally. The initiative supports emerging talent across the Middle East and North Africa, offering funding and industry guidance for growing fashion businesses. The 25 finalists each had Zoom conferences with members of the esteemed FTA 2020 jury which included: Alber Elbaz, Christian Louboutin, Daniel Arsham, Olivier Rousteing, Yoon Ahn, Giambattista Valli and more. The selected five winners will receive financial support up to $200,000 and will be offered an extensive mentorship program with Fashion Trust Arabia partners, including MatchesFashion, who will be exclusively stocking each of the winners’ SS21 collections. In addition to the FTA’s support of the five winning designers, the organisation has also launched an emergency Covid-19 fund, which is available to designers in the MENA region.
