Fashion East have announced their latest crop of young fashion hot shots that will be presenting their collections at Fashion Week in September. Helen Lawrence and Louise Alsop will be returning to the Topshop Showspace while Ed Marler will be making his Fashion East debut. Lawrence’s knitwear has already gained her a lot of attention through collaborations with the apple of Team Ten’s eye, Craig Green. Opening Ceremony were clearly fans, stocking her A/W14 collection. Alsop has similarly found favour with retailers, stocked by Primitive London. As for Marler, well, M.I.A. and Katie Grand have already taken a shining to his aesthetic, described by one writer as “DIY Cinderella” and “rags-to-riches royal drag”. We’re looking forward to the Fashion East fixture already. Congratulations to all three designers!
