The fellas at Fantastic Man love a classic, so naturally they teamed up with Penguin to create Buttoned-Up (The East London Line), one of 12 books celebrating the London Underground’s 150th anniversary (one for each Tube line). Using archive images and contemporary fashion portraits, it paints a picture of the East End’s evolution from rag-trade central to cool-kid destination du jour via the button-down shirt. Which, if you didn’t know, is worn by your average Dalston-dwelling post-metrosexual, fully fastened and accessorised with a barbershop do, silver hoop earring and top-pocket packet of rollies. Its beautiful black and white imagery is guaranteed to attract over-the-shoulder reading during your morning commute. Out now.
