EUROVISION: CEZAR OF ROMANIA
This weekend Sweden played host to a the greatest musical celebration known to man, the Eurovision. Which I missed. As I was away and apparently it is rude to attend your cousin’s wedding and miss it because you would rather sit in your hotel room, watching Europe’s finest musicians compete. Eurovision really does speak volumes about the musical talent of our little continent. Anyway, I’ve only seen one video so far, Cezar of Romania, doing his best sexy bedazzled vampire impression, complete with pool of bubbling blood and writhing red men at his feet. What Cezar is saying to me in his performance is, “Romania is home to Transylvania, the land of the vampire. It has a great castle surrounded by forest. It’s perfect for a weekend mini break. Come visit and party on down with the vampires. Visit Dracula’s grave and sleep in his coffin.” Well, what else has Romania got that’s of any interest really? Bucharest? That’s been so done. They need something you and what’s better than being the home of Liberace reincarnated as a vampire? They were also robbed. Robbed by Denmark. That trophy should be sitting in Romania’s trophy cabinet.
