Last night Gildo Zegna and very talented prodigal son, Ermenegildo Zegna’s returning Artistic Director, Alessandro Sartori, hosted an event last night to celebrate their new global store on Bond Street. And all designed by the supernova store guru Peter Marino. I mean, who else? The swanky store will include Zegna’s bespoke English shoe collection by Gaziano and Girling, being, in the process, the only store in the world with this exclusive service. Because everyone knows the worlds best gentlemen’s shoes come from England. Fact. The evening unfolded with the work of William Kentridge, Benjamin Millepede, Zach Gold – contuining the Zegna family’s commitement to push the company’s identity beyond just suit fabric. It was, in a word, fabulous.
