Our typical Tuesday evenings are usually spent plonked in front of the telly, chowing down on a Tesco microwave meal and worrying about our pending doom as we read through the political turmoil that unfolds on the daily. Thankfully, yesterday evening we got out of our pyjamas and into the finest (tailored) fashions for a marvellous evening dinatoire with Ermenegildo Zegna. The night was the London date on Zegna’s worldwide tour celebrating their What Makes a Man campaign – stopping off in New York, Berlin and Singapore before reaching the big smoke.
Held at a rather swanky, art-laden house tucked away in the deepest corners of West London, artistic director of the Zegna Group Alessandro Sartori was joined by the charming star of We’re The Millers and Midsommar, Will Poulter to discuss the story behind the campaign. After the round table, the search of finding the answer to the question of “What Makes A Man?” continued as Tim Blanks and our very own Editrix Sophia Neophitou gave their own two cents on the discussion revolving around contemporary ideas of masculinity. Plenty of champagne and Italian delicacies were had, as were powerful conversations and everyone’s favourite part of a glittering shindig – a lot of goss. We can’t tell you what we found out (for that, you’ll have to read the next issue of the mag), but we can share that Zegna and Sartori are moving this conversation forward onto Dubai and LA next, for more nights of fab food, great drinks and deep, meaningful convos. Cheers to Zegna!
