Oh, we do enjoy a line-up of handsome gentlemen here at Ten Towers. Particularly when said line-up drops into our inbox during the latter part of a Friday afternoon. Like this – the brand new campaign from Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, starring an aesthetically blessed collection of men clad in Stefano Pilati’s fine SS16 offering – “maxi madras checks, lightweight mixes of black and colour-brushed greys, a new slouched trouser shape, and lots of lovely fabric”, as we said after the show. But said men were not put in front of us merely for our titillation, oh no, this campaign is in fact “a refreshing celebration of the contemporary masculine identity.” Which sounds just as good, really. Reading on – “a group of self-aware and relaxed men are portrayed on a simple white background which reminds to the accurate balance of simplicity, fluidity and lightness.” How lovely.
