Emporio Armani: Ready-to-wear SS16

“Summer Breeze” was the name Giorgio Armani gave to his collection for next year- it’s a spring/summer show, obvs, so you got the first part straight away. And when the clothes started to appear, light and effortless and floaty-flailing about the body in petals of organza, you got the breeze bit too. This collection was light and airy, technically complex, visually arresting. Armani seemed, metaphorically, to puff air into everything, so the garments looked as if they were floating. And the succulent colour palette, of sunset pinks and hazy cinnamon and every shade of grey (the hardest colour, according to Diana Vreeland, to get right) was delicious.
