Emporio Armani: Ready-To-Wear AW19

After last season’s co-ed airport spectacle starring Robbie Williams, the world of Emporio Armani womenswear went back to it’s solo showing. And it was all about freestyle. The notion of using clothes as a form of self-expression without conforming to codes led the vision for the season with the younger, naughtier sister of the Armani brand. More so than usual, an unapologetic sense of eclecticism was oozing out of the clothes, with prints, textures and accessories layering over a youthful set of silhouettes. Legs were on show, hoodies worn under suit-like jackets, and embellished berets propped on the heads. A little bit of 1960s psychedelia and a lot of vibrancy, even in the completely black looks. A t-shirt printed with a vintage photo of Giorgio Armani’s face was worn under a fine bomber jacket and skinny black trousers – this was a look to take away for your street style inspiration.

Starting with neutrals and sectioned in colours, the finale of the show was all in crimson red, full of statement-making party looks with matching thigh-high boots and micro bags. Whether you’re more of a layered kinda gal with a full three-piece suit or a party princess that sticks to a frock, there was something for everyone to choose from. Freestyle is the only style.
