EMILIO PUCCI
This seasons offering from Pucci was a much more subdued affair. The paler palette was favoured with embellishment done tone on tone. Wonderful white chiffon trousers layered over cami knickers with black judo jackets embroidered in gold being the only moment of extreme exuberance and the finale dress of red being the full stop of vivid colour at the end of the show. It was a much more quiet and measured affair with the chinoiserie theme being the constant thread that ran throughout the collection in lesser or more intense degrees of exploration but definitely the main theme of the show. I loved the quite fragility of it with the varying transparencies played out and expressed in a game of ‘now you see it now you don’t’ with no vulgarity or extreme exposure at all but showing enough to titivate and tantalise. Favourite section was the clean white fragile beginning. Clever Mr Dondas we heart you.
