The SS23 Guess USA Campaign Is A Sexed-Up Vision Of Authentic Americana

Spicy. Steamy. Sexy. Guess USA is announcing its new season via a provocative campaign and it’s teeming with beautiful, bodacious, oil-up bodies. Lensed by Eli Russell Linnetz, whose subversive and sensual visual language threads its way into the Americana aesthetic of the clothes, the campaign reflects on Nicolai Marciano and Linnetz’ shared American roots. 

As for the collection, which was designed by Marciano, each individual piece is designed in a way that plays on the brand’s evolution over the last 40 years. “The second chapter of Guess USA is really highlighting our history of exploring colour and technique as a denim company,” Marciano said. “Guess was a very innovative and daring company in the 90’s era when it came to fashion denim. Based on the spirit of Southern California and overdye we’ve expanded the story for Guess USA across the whole collection in a more eclectic and elevated way.”

Marciano brings intricate detailing such as vintage patchworks, stone washing and hand tinting to the table, exploring even more colourways than the inaugural, fall ‘22 Guess USA offering. Elsewhere, the label’s staple cracked leather is adapted into a range of pastel shades with nostalgic, sun fading abrasions. Not to mention, everything is entirely handmade, with Slam Jam overseeing distribution. This collection certainly gives casual, daytime looks a saucy Guess-glam overload. Your summer uniform never looked so sexy.
