Talk about calling in the cavalry. A montage here would feel appropriate – Kate, Naomi, Grace and Steve all sliding down ropes into Vogue house or such. Yes, this morning, the glorious Edward Enninful announced the latest changes to the British Vogue masthead, introducing the crack team of Naomi Campbell, Steve McQueen and Grace Coddington as contributing editors, and confirming that Kate Moss would stay on the masthead in the same role.
“I am thrilled that Kate, Naomi, Steve and Grace are going to work with us in these new roles,” he said this morning. “As two of the biggest international style influencers and supermodels, the impact Naomi and Kate have in today’s culture is enormous. Being an acclaimed filmmaker and Turner Prize-winning artist, Steve will bring an increased depth to the arts within the magazine.”
The four will join Venetia Scott, Edward’s first appointment at the helm of the magazine, who will begin her role as fashion editor on July 10th, Edward officially starting on August 1st. Squeals of excitement from Ten HQ.
