The cool kids of NYFW Eckhaus Latta partnered with UGG which means it might be time for us to hang up our Alaia heels (NEVER!). But at least the kids will have comfy feet for AW19. Yes Tenners, the early 00s is back – furry coats, patchwork knits, prints, parachute fabrics, loose-fitting trousers a la clubbing under the bridges kind of looks are hot! We are getting ahead of ourselves here because as you might have seen from our Insta story, we were slightly delayed in getting to the venue. The show was in deep Brooklyn but that did not deter anyone from schlepping there and although we might have missed the start of the show, we saw the finale and the whole collection!
Now back to the clothes- knitwear was heavily featured in this collection from gorgeous multi-coloured patchwork knit dresses to two-piece, huge oversized outwear, tie-dye trousers, knitted suits all worn with uggs! From square toe to green and yellow fur uggs, we want them all. Casting as always was on point – Lili Sumner, Michael Bailey Gates to Paloma Elsesser, and many more amazing talents helped bring the whole feel of this tribe together. Whether you are drinking organic wine (which they served) or heading to Burning Man, Eckhaus Latta is the brand that always seems to be ahead of the game.
