Fashdoc alert! Yes, according to WWD, 2017 will see the release of a brand new documentary all about the wonderful world, and work, of Mr Dries van Noten. Obviously we are pulsating with excitement – everyone knows we love a bit of Van Notz here at Ten. Called simply, Dries, the film will be produced, directed and written by esteemed documentary filmmaker Reiner Holzemer, who has previously worked with Juergen Teller, William Eggleston and David Lynch. We don’t know a whole lot as yet, only that it will follow the Belgium designer and his atelier as he creates four collections a year, and will feature interviews with Iris Apfel, Pamela Golbin and Suzy Menkes, as well as the man himself. “It took me a very long time to convince Dries to share his passions, his creative and intimate world in front of a camera,” Holzemer said to WWD. “I followed him for a whole year, and I think I came as close to him and his world as it is possible. I hope the result is a very personal insight into his life and career.”
