It’s always a treat anticipating the annual instalments of Liberty’s capsule collections. For autumn 2018 the Budapest-based contemporary design house Nanushka is next on the roster. Reimagining Liberty’s iconic prints into modern street style bits, they join the likes of Vans and New Era in their collaboration with the landmark department store.
With a vast archive of over 45,000 Liberty Prints, Nanushka founder and creative director Sandra Sandor delved deep into the archives and worked closely with Liberty’s womenswear team to create three key looks. The famous Nanushka Hide puffer jacket is fabricated in two distinct liberty prints: the Mortimer in a palette of blush-toned pink and plum, and the Elizabeth Lilestone in plum. Hints of the brand runs throughout the collection and the fabrics used mirror the velvets and steel motif prominent in the Nanushka flagship store.
Fashion blogger extraordinaire and regular Ten contributor Susie Lau, aka. Susie Bubble, fronts the campaign adding her signature injection of vivacious energy to the classic liberty prints. The contemporary design of the outerwear makes for the perfect marriage of style and practicality. Like every Liberty collab this is not one to be missed; especially as the temperature drops this winter. Wrap up warm!
Liberty x Nanuskha is available exclusively at Liberty London from the 1st-22nd October 2018.
