Remember when Blue Peter used to do those bring and buy sales? Well, this is like that. Except, not really, as you neither have to bring nor buy, but donate. To a cause that is very close to the hearts of all of here at Ten. Fashion. No, we’re not asking you to donate to our latest Alaia purchase (though it is Christmas, so all donations to that fund will also be more than welcome) but the future of British fashion. The British fashion industry, and its amazing education institutions, have gifted the world with some of its finest designers. McQueen. Westwood. Philo. Galliano. Kane. We are (sorry world) but the best. But support is expensive. So, we’re asking you to donate to the fund that was generously donated at this month’s Fashion Awards (see the fab-u pictures above) where they raised an amazing £70,000. So far, £300,000 has gone to the BFC Education Foundation to support British talent through scholarships and £400,000 NEWGEN, Business Support and the BFC Colleges Council. All amazing causes that truly help foster the next generation of designers. And if you don’t, Sophia will come round to your house and beat you up. Just sayin’.
