Dolce & Gabbana: Ready-To-Wear SS26

There’s an arms race for attention in fashion. Woe betide the brand that cannot maximise its moment. For Dolce & Gabbana, attracting attention has never been a problem. Let other brands shout about their new creative directors. For SS26, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had a flex that no-one could compete with. A Hollywood blockbuster was filming on their front row. Miranda Priestly is in the building and she’s wearing Dolce.

Queue cheers and excited applause as as Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Simone Ashley – all in character, took their seats and the audience including Naomi Campbell and K-pop superstar DoYoung realised they were the extras.

Speaking of extra, Dolce & Gabbana know how to amplify a message. For summer they came up with the all-round perfect solution: pyjamas you can wear anywhere, from an off-duty stroll to a big night out. The loungewear vibe could be dialled up with lavish crystal embellishments on cotton pyjamas and layers of sheer lingerie, or dialled down with oversized coats and slouchy, fluffy bags. For a night out? Add the brand’s signature big knickers, black stockings and a little lace bra and the VIP room awaits. There was even an office-ready, power-shouldered blazer worn over striped pyjama bottoms. This was a bedtime story that worked at any hour.
