DOLCE & GABBANA: LONDON BOUTIQUE OPENING AND SHOW

So yesterday was the start of London Collections: Men and we started with a bang with the Dolce & Gabbana boys flying in on a private jet for the event before having to fly back that evening to start styling the menswear show in Milan. This collection was specially designed for the London crowd. Bespoke suiting with tie fabrics woven into jacquards to give the suits have a nostalgia and modernity. Neat shrunken double breasted jackets with super skinny suiting trousers enforced the idea of modern classicism. The whole event was held at the newly opened store on Bond Street, where the music was provided by two amazing opera singers and strings and a pianist. Wonderful combination. Domenico informed me that all the boys dressed for the show at Claridges and walked across to the store from the hotel. Imagine the response from the crowds who had a preview of the pieces even before we did. So brilliant. Fashion on the streets of London, just as it should be.
