Two of luxury’s most renowned names – Dior and Harrods – have joined forces for an unprecedented pop-up in the famed London department store. Opening today and running until August 25, the space will highlight Dior’s AW24 womenswear collection, designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, marking an almost seventy-year relationship between the two fashion powerhouses.
A classically stunning collection, the offering features many monochromatic pieces as an ode to German actress and close confidant of Christian Dior himself, Marlene Dietrich. Also integrating Marc Bohan and Alexandre Sache’s 1976 Bicentennial American flag print by printing it on jackets and sweatshirts, it was a nod to the home of Dior’s AW24 runway – New York City.
For the starry-eyed shoppers sure to pass through its doors, shoes, leather goods, glasses, accessories and jewellery are all available for purchase, alongside the wider ready-to-wear offering of dresses, tops and shirts. Also on offer are pieces which pay tribute to the historic Miss Dior line, where bold, graffiti-like logos are printed onto brightly-coloured trench coats, jackets and skirts as well as staple accessories like the Book Tote and Dway mules. For the icing on the cake, 175 limited, numbered editions of the Miss Dior Book Totes will be available to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Dior’s Kensington boutique on Brompton Road.
Celebrating the heritage and flare of both Harrods and Dior, pencil in a visit before it’s too late.
