I was recently watching an episode of Maury where women with different phobias came on the show to face their fears. There was one lady in particular who had a fear of balloons, which was so extreme she screamed and cried at the sound of a balloon popping. To her, pop is a word that will never mean anything good. But for Dior, pop is a great word. And they have popped up on Mount Street in a glorious technicolour dream shop – with taxis to match parked up outside. As I swanned around the store, drinking tea and eating delicious macarons I became the Dior woman – “I’ll take this in every colour,” I exclaimed. “Give me ten of these” as I gestured at some sparkling shoes at the back of the store. It was quite intoxicating. So get yourself down and you too can be transformed into a woman of money, honey. Unless you have globophobia (fear of balloons) perhaps a pop up shop is not for you.
