Shopping for Christmas is about to get Dior-ified. The French fashion goliath has embarked on a festive launch of epic proportions with a mass takeover of legendary London department store, Harrods. Running until January 3, 2023, The Fabulous World of Dior will combine “the charm of the English spirit with French luxury and art de vivre refinement”. Dior, in collaboration with the artist Pietro Ruffo, has illuminated Harrods’ entire exterior with fundamental references to the brand’s cruise 2023 show. Among glistening stars and scintillating flowers, guests can immerse themselves in two special pop-ups – 30 Montaigne, Monsieur Dior’s atelier, reimagined as a gingerbread house and a festive gift shop ideal for finding a loved one that special present – alongside Café Dior, where British classics are updated and elevated.
Throughout the store, you will discover a slew of Dior products exclusive to Harrods. There’s micro versions of both the Saddle and Lady Dior bags – which are encased in delightful protective trunks – as well as the Dior Book Tote and D-Way mules, which come adorned in a Rêve d’Infini motif by Ruffo. There’s also enhanced variations of the Lady D-Joy, now accented with beads and embroidery, and new interpretations of Kim Jones’s men’s staples that are party-perfect for Christmas shindigs, alongside an expansive array of fragrance (including hand-blown bottles of J’adore) and limited-edition beauty products. In Dior’s hands, Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year.
