Marco Lodola Decorates the New Dior Space Inside Harrods

After what we can all admit has been a particularly dull year, especially in terms of physical shopping – there’s pop-tastic light at the end of the tunnel. The incredibly talented Italian artist Marco Lodola has teamed up with Dior to unveil its AW21 ready-to-wear collection at a brand new pop-up space inside Harrods

Projecting powerful, joyful beams of colour onto the previously post-apocalyptic streets of London throughout the pandemic, the custom-made set will showcase Lodola’s neo-futuristic designs with the house’s silhouettes – alongside some iconic symbols of London such as red buses, black cabs and electric guitars.

The pop-up’s display windows and interior will be decorated with Mizza Bricard-inspired leopard print – whom Christian Dior admired for her daring elegance. The pattern is featured on jackets, skirts, shirts and accessories in both a natural tone or enchanting grey, mixing between a crocodile-like texture and smooth velvet. This soft fabric is an essential theme throughout the collection, appearing on both long, flowing coats as well as a bunch of must-have accessories such as the Dior Book Tote and Dior Caro. The signature handbags will have a dedicated area in pop-up, where house favourites like the Lady Dior and 30 Montaigne will be available in micro-format. Très cute.
