All this time away from the dancefloor probably has you craving a proper boogie, doesn’t it? Well, it’s time to put those bedroom danceathons of yours to some good use. Dior has teamed up with some of the brand’s favourite dancers to conduct choreographic lessons and workshops to keep you movin’ and groovin’ during lockdown. Over three instalments, you will be able to rediscover the power of movement that has informed Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tenure at the house so far. Led by Germain Louvet, a principal dancer of the Paris Opera Ballet and Sébastien Bertaud, a Paris Opera Ballet choreographer, learn how to improvise key positions and perfect improvisation techniques. There will also be workshops from Stuttgart Ballet principal dancer Friedemann Vogel and Elonora Abbagnato, a principal dancer at the Paris Opera Ballet.
After you’ve done channelling your inner Misty Copeland, take some time to unwind with Dior’s latest podcast series The Female Gaze. Inspired by the writings of theorist Laura Mulvey, British journalist and author Charlotte Jansen will be moderating a series of discussions centred around issues of self-affirmation, image, identity and representation. Jansen and her guests will also tackle topics such as how art shapes our relationship with gender and how photography intersects with fashion. Dior practically has your whole day covered.
