Diesel’s AW16 Campaign Is All About Decoding The Fashion Industry

On Monday morning, at approximately 9.18am, Natalie spotted a young couple pashing outside our local Pret a Manger. She concluded that yes, they were out from the night before. “On a Monday!” shouted Phoebe and I in horror. At that point, we agreed that yes, we were old. In fact, a large portion of our day is spent whinging about our various ages here at Ten Towers. The official radio station has switched from Capital Xtra to Smooth FM. Thankfully, though, we have our seasonal dose of Diesel, in the form of their wonderful ad campaigns, to keep us young. Hip, even. Last season, it was all about sexy social media messages, this time it’s about “telling it like it is, decoding the fashion industry’s joyful yet absurd behavior.”  The slogans accompanying the bold images, photographed by Santiago & Mauricio, say such things as “I need my own space” and “In knit together”. Geddit? “We worked with director/photographer duo Santiago & Mauricio to shoot beautiful and impactful images where the product is celebrated with a twist on the traditional advertising images,” says the lovely Nicola Formichetti, Artistic Director. “It is really important for us to continue speaking the same language that we started with Fall Winter 15 campaign and keep the connection and interaction it created with our audience.”
