Diesel, however, have heard our cries and our becoming one of the first brands to hold a full ready to retail collection this September is Japan. In case you weren’t paying attention, this means that their AW16 will be available to buy online and in store on the very same day. Hoorah. We like our fashion served HOT. Nicola Formichetti and Renzo Rosso are holding the show in Japan to celebrate Diesel’s 30th birthday there. Which means not only the launch of two new denim capsule collections, they will also collaborate with three Japanese designers, one of them being last year’s winner of the ITS Yuko Koike. Festivities will begin with an exhibition to showcase Diesel’s key denim looks since 1978 and will end with a party, because, how better to celebrate than with copious amounts of booze? Nicola, who is Diesel’s artistic director, says “Japan is where I was born and it has always played a prominent role in my creative process, being a constant source of inspiration, being a huge part of who I am. And now it’s a match made in heaven for me, as artistic director of Diesel.” Now, all we have to wait for is Septmeber 6th…
