DIESEL: FELICITY GILBERT FOR DIESEL SKINZEE
We’ve cornered Felicity Gilbert- the otherworldly MTA (model turned actress for none users of tabloidy abbreviations)- for a quick sit down, and chat about her Skinzee jeans and the god given fashswan/thespian talents that fill them. Taking the slurp factor of jeggings (a little bit suctioning), and mixing in the essence of genuine 5 pocket denim, Felicity sports the black wash. We’d of grabbed the 10 minutes to chat that you’re probably expecting if we could, but doubling up promotion of her new Lars Von Trier outing Nymphomaniac that’s slated for March, with her new Diesel brand Ambassador duties- we just about managed five. And yes- with 7 questions below that does average more than 1 a minute. Some might call it verbal D. And as for premiere wear Flick…we’re thinking Skinzee’s and something glam on top?
1. Strangest job- like, ever?
I had to do a shoot in the derelict children’s hospital on Hackney Rd once – that was pretty weird… I also did a job where we shot at various locations like Speaker’s Corner, Trafalgar Square etc – I was dressed as an Alien in an all in one body suit, speaking a made-up Alien language – so fashion!
2. ‘It’s a London thing’ but is it really?
London is my favourite city in the world (and Tokyo too) so yes it is! You can’t beat London for creativity- I’m really into UK Grime and rap at the moment, so that too!
3. Your last Twitter rant/obsession? Being social network stalker types, we see that you’re a fan of early Pammy (us too).
Yeah I love Pammy – I remember asking my brother’s to call me C.J when I was little because I loved her so much! I have a real thing at the moment for that 90s big hair, lots of make-up look. I like that very over-the-top glamorous style that’s verging on trashy. I also love Adriana La Cerva (a character from The Sopranos) for that look too.
4. Double denim- still a faux pas? Head to toe Diesel denim- kind of amazing?
Double denim is definitely not a faux-pas… think Kate Moss in 90s Calvin Klein – that’s amazing!
5. New years resolutions- what’s the one thing you should probably start early?
To not make any new years resolutions! It’s not my cup of tea!
6. What keeps you awake late at night? Learning your lines? Photo shoots? Part-ayz?
Learning my lines definitely keeps me awake at night and if I don’t have work to do then yes, I’ll be out at a Hip-hop, grime or Afro-beats night.
7. Premiere wear- is your red carpet look for Nymphomaniac already in the planning?
I haven’t really had time to think about it yet….
