DIESEL BLACK GOLD: BACKSTAGE GIRLS, NY FASHION WEEK A/W 14
DBG’s latest outing was inspired by that most ultimate of outings- ‘the final frontier’ of space travel. Cue not so tuneful renditions of Babylon Zoo’s Spaceman from team 10. The focus here was space woman of course, and space woman- visited through the nostalgic prism of retro futurism Melbostad chose, always conjures images of sexy sci-fi types. Indeed there was a sexiness to proceedings- kind of unavoidable with when sixties hem lengths are paired with heaps of leather, but some wintery practicality too, with shoosh loads of snug looking, totally wantable jackets and coats. Personally we’d opt for a mixture of both. Big coats and LBD’s has always been a strong look for us. Uniform in fact. P.S- loving Julia Nobis in the most Nasa of exits- look 1. La Nobis is everywhere this season!
