Derek Lam loves the seventies. Who doesn’t? Especially we at 10, gorged on gorgeous glamour, Jerry Hall with her hair caked in Elnett and conducting static electricity in a lovely lurex bit of Yves Saint Laurent and fairly reeking of Opium. The models at Lam weren’t wearing Opium – but they could have been, especially in the semi-sheer beaded black, blue and white evening numbers with plunging necklines. Va-vroom. It’s nice to see a bit of unabashed, unashamed sexiness on a New York catwalk, we’ve got to say. We wouldn’t mind being a fox in Lam’s clothing next season.
